Kahiwa weaves together research, evaluation, learning, design thinking, and digital technology, with a focus on equity for Māori and Indigenous First Nations peoples, as well as opportunities in technology and education. As an evaluator and researcher, she captures learnings, impacts, and future recommendations for programmes, processes, systems, and workshops. She believes success comes from intentionality—how we design, develop, deliver, and understand the impact of an experience. Her work spans the full lifecycle of programmes and projects, from developmental evaluations that support design and development, to process and implementation evaluations that uncover successes and learnings in early delivery, and impact evaluations that capture outcomes and guide future directions.
